Thanks to its R+D+i Department, La Abuela Carmen has become the number one European exporter of Black Garlic. Its products are sold across the 5 continents, while its ecological harvesting and production are pioneers in the sector.

The research, in constant communication with the country’s main universities, is continuously creating ideas, which have come to fruition as the first Spanish producer of Black Onion, and the permanent study of the multiple healthy properties of Garlic and Black Garlic.

Thanks to the I+D+i Department, La Abuela Carmen’s products are a gourmet reference, whose work has obtained plenty of recognition, such as that granted by the Regional Ministry of Agriculture in 2014 for innovation.

From Montalbán to the rest of the world

La Abuela Carmen commercialises its products throughout the world thanks to its certified quality, including the wide diversity that we achieve to extract from Garlic in its various aspects.

We currently export 50% of the production.

Our facilities are the most modern in the country. Our current factory for processing and packaging products, in Montalbán de Córdoba, specialises in the IV range production (minimally-processed vegetables, ready for consumption). This fact allows us to reach millions of consumers, in addition to supplying all the hospitality and foodstuff industry channels.

Our products go from the field to the factory and end their journey in shops, supermarkets and markets in Spain, as well as countries in the European Union, Japan, northern Africa, the US, Switzerland, the UK and Saudi Arabia.
